State Assembly District 28: Luis Alejo
"Current District 28 Assemblymember Anna Caballero is running for state senate, and the candidates looking to replace her are Watsonville mayor Luis Alejo and businessman Robert Bernosky. A self-made startup expert, Bernosky offers a financial focus but relies on the old Republican formula of shrinking state government-a potential disaster in a state that already suffers from one of the lowest ratios of state workers per resident. Alejo, by contrast, wants a state more involved in job creation, health care, green tech, gang intervention and education. We find Luis Alejo to be the better choice for the Assembly seat."
